Terms & Conditions

Quality Guarantee:

Big Fish Schoolwear Limited aim to uphold the highest standards of quality in our garments and would ask that damaged or faulty goods be returned as soon as possible in order that refunds or replacements can be given. Please contact us to discuss the returns process.

We take care when putting product information, descriptions and images on-line but will not be held responsible for any mistakes or omissions to any information given. The technical information & details of a product may be subject to change by our manufacturers and we will attempt to update it as soon as we are aware of such changes.


Payment:

Payment is required at time of order, when placing orders either via the website or over the phone.

We do not accept payment by cheque.

We accept all major credit & debit cards, with the exception of American Express.


Delivery:

All deliveries to your school are made free of charge. (This applies to schools where we have an existing relationship & it has been approved by the School. If you require clarification as to whether free delivery is available to your school, please e-mail sales@bigfishschoolwear.co.uk).

Deliveries to a nominated address (within the United Kingdom) are charged as follows:

Standard Delivery £4.00

Recorded Delivery (Next day/Week days only) £9.00


Holiday Deliveries:

Deliveries outside of term time will be delivered to your preferred address (within the United Kingdom), charged as follows:

Standard Delivery £4.00

Recorded Delivery (Next day/Week days only) £9.00

If you would prefer, the delivery can be made to your school for collection within the first week of term free of charge. (This only applies to schools where we have an existing relationship. If you require clarification as to whether free delivery is available to your school, please e-mail sales@bigfishschoolwear.co.uk).


Shipping & Handling:

If your order is sent by courier, the delivery company will attempt delivery of your order twice and will leave a calling card on each occasion to inform you that they have attempted delivery. Following the second failed attempt, your order will be returned to us and we will contact you.

If sent by Royal Mail, your postman will attempt one delivery and will leave a calling card so that you can contact them to arrange a redelivery or to collect it from your local Royal Mail depot.


Returns Policy:

Our returns policy is strictly 21 working days from despatch of items. Should you wish to return items for credit, please complete our returns from, which you can download here & enclose with the items being returned.

All items being returned should be posted at a Post Office, to ensure that you have either a proof of postage from the post office or the goods are sent as signed for.

Exchange Items:

Items which are not defective or damaged - You will be refunded the amount paid for the purchase of the item, provided that the item is returned within 21 working days, unused and in good condition, with the original packaging & tags attached.

Please note items produced as special orders (including individually named items) are only refundable or exchangeable if items are found to be faulty.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

To save time and to assist us in despatching the items to you promptly, we recommend re-ordering the items you require and returning the purchased items that you wish to exchange for a full refund.

Please note that any exchanges will be subject to a re-delivery charge (£4.00).


Faulty or Damaged Items:

Should you receive a faulty or damaged item/s, we reserve the right to repair the item/s, replace or refund you for the purchase price paid for any item/s which are found to be defective, incorrect or damaged on delivery. If the item/s are defective, incorrect or damaged on delivery, please notify us within 3 working days and return the item/s to us.
Please note that we will process a refund the postage charges on defective or damaged goods.

Refunds will be made to the account that was used for the initial payment of the order. Once the refund has been processed, you will receive an e-mail notification & confirmation that the transaction has been processed. Please allow up to 10 working days for the funds to appear in your account.


VAT Legislation:

VAT legislation states that garments in adult sizes are subject to VAT irrespective of whether they are supplied to a child or an adult. All children’s sizes are exclusive of VAT.

We have taken every care in the preparation of the content of this website, in particular to ensure that all the goods have been fairly described and that the prices are all correct at the time of publishing (and are kept up to date). All prices are displayed inclusive of VAT if applicable.
